Hypothetical Question
Imagine you receive a letter from Chrysler that a dangerous flaw has been discovered in the Crossfires design, and the Fed's are forcing Chrysler to buy back every Crossfire for what you paid for it.
What vehicle (currently produced) would you replace it with?

I would demand a straight across trade.
Hard Part would be choosing the color!!

BUT I DO LIKE THE LONG HOOD WITH THE RIBS.

I wouldn't sell the car because of any danger issue, but...
Very hard question cause any car I would want would be at least double the price of the crossfire, because anything else would be just a too huge of a downgrade to handle...
CL55 V8 Kompressor... I know it is no where near as flashy, but the price on these is great and I driven one recently and I can say I liked it quiet a bit... and it is something I can afford... one can be had for around 45k which was only a few years ago was 100+... I could of said SLR, but it would not be possible for me at least not yet...
Caddy XLR... Always wanted a hard top convertible since they were released, but never liked the slks and the sl was just to common place... In some ways this car is similar to the crossfire as it has a really rapid price drop and it is quiet unique... also can be had for high 40s low 50s.

I like the RX8, but I hear owning one is a living nightmare because of reliability issues plus ravenous gas and oil consumption. They are unusual, appealing cars, though. I generally like Mazdas. The Mazdaspeed 3 is a real speedbuggy, it's surely reliable and fun to drive. Really ugly, though. Same with the WRX and Lancer Evo. Wicked fast. Wicked, wicked ugly.
Hmm. A guy at work has a 2005 Vette a 11,000 miles for a good price.
Or if I could talk my wife into going w/out a convertible (or removable roof, etc.), I'd probably go with a low mileage ~ 2002-2004 Z06 = lots of available mods w/ lots of additional available oomph.

Other than visual, probably an evo? Might go back to a vette, but if I had the cash, I want the crossfires' big poppa, we know it as an SLR.
Or make them produce the firepower.
I would stay away from MBs. They are nice and fast but unreliable. Unless you can get an extended warranty. I would get Vette, STI, EVO, Mustang or an Audi S4 ('03+). I'm a die hard MB person but i'm not sure I will buy one. I'm looking at picking up an '04 - '05 E55. Just waiting for my new job to take effect.
