Heated seat problem but different
Did a search on heated seats and it seems the botom goes out in every thread I read. Well my back drivers side is out. Passenger works, top and bottom, just not the drivers back. That seems to be uncommon. So what nightmares am I looking at going to the dealer? It seems some are happy witt the fix and some here are not. I'd love to fix it myself. Would love to get the seats replaced as some have had the dealer do. SRT-6 seats, wonder if they would have more trouble getting them.

Best case scenario, you dealer will replace the seats rather than tearing your seats apart to replace the heating elements...which is the worst case scenario.
yeah, mine is gong to the stealership for a failed driver's seat heater failure. I know exactly when it happened too. The bottom got so hot it gave me a 1st degree burn through my slacks. I pulled over and jumped out because I thought it was going to catch fire... Hopefulley they will replace the seat.

Both seats did get extremely hot on the low setting before fizzeling out.

I believe my bottom seat heater is broken on both sides. They just don't warm up. The seat backs warm up just fine.
I'll take it to a dealer in Kansas City and find out what I can.
What are the 2 things I should suggest they check?
1. Module
2. Wiring somthing...
3. Burned out...
Thanks.

Just yesterday I took in my fire to have the bottom driver's seat heater replaced. It got really hot in one spot, could feel the buns getting too warm, it then smelled really hot, and went out.
Of the four heaters in our xfires, THREE of mine are dead! Both drivers' and the passenger's bottom heater. This is ridiculous. Seems like everyone's seats break.
My coupe is a 2004 and not under warranty any longer. Have there been any TSB's about these things? Is there any chance the dealer will replace them free or heavily discounted? Does anyone know how much is costs to replace these if you're not under warranty?
