The BMW was nicer but I am only home about 3 months total a year and I don't need to impress anyone. The sad part is most people cannot afford the car they drive. If you can't put a down payment on a car and pay off in 3 maybe 4 years max you simply cannot afford the car. The community I live in is loaded with households with incomes in excess of $150K that have negative net worth. The one couple that lives down the road from me has an H2 and a 5 series BMW but when you go in their house they have cheap furniture and decorations because they are strapped with 2 expensive cars and a big mortgage.

I think Midnighman was just looking for demographics, and not to see who makes more than others. But some of you're right; money is not everything in life, and sometimes it's not what you make, but how well you manage/spend it.
I think we all spent it wisely on our crossfires.

The car payments are about the same as my last, it's the insurance and maintenance costs that kill me with this car. I'm somewhere in the middle as far as my own income... but it all goes to school and house payments, lol. Can't wait until I get that degree and move up to more comfortable living!
there is one more thing about income, and that's what your income gets you in your area... ie cost of living here in the baltimore d.c. area for a 2 br condo in a good neighborhood your looking at 300k. so basically yeah i'm screwed no matter what lol!

Well, of course health and happiness come before everything.
After some thought, I realize now that as the price of the Crossfire has declined considerably over the past 2 years (especially used ones), so has the value of a poll like this. It has become a very affordable car, and a steal at current prices. Just about anyone can own one if they can afford the maintenance (premium gas, synthetic oil, expensive tires, etc.
The poll is also flawed insofar as my not taking household vs. individual income into consideration. Then there is the daily driver vs. second or third car "toy" factor, along with the parent-purchased car for their children who currently make the lowest income (if any) of their young lives.
But despite the possibly skewed numbers, the poll shows that over half of the respondents fall in the 85K+ category. Well over one third are above 100K. Another third fall between the 35K and 65K mark.
So what have I learned from this? I'll tell you what I've learned. I've learned that a heckuva lot of people here make a lot more than I do and I need to find out what you all are doing, if I can do it too, and how do I do it (without working hard).

That's what I've learned.
With 1,049 views on this thread as of right now I see only 163 entries to the poll. Seems that a lot of people are reluctant to participate in the poll ??

Well I am pretty new to this forum and try to stay out of politics here. I think this is a ridiculous question. I am retired and make ZERO income. The tooth fairy dropped mine off one night. The Easter bunny might just be bringing me something else good. Oh, I forgot about Christmas (Oh I wish for a 2009 Crossfire II). Yep they are coming just wait and see. My fairy godmother is a Chrysler executive. Now don't get me wrong I have only had my 07 roadster for a little over a month I am no expert. But I do have connections and the inside scoop. What is funny most of you with think I am full of c-ap. Not so. Mark my word you heard it here first.
Features will include: 6 speed manual on the sport model (car name pending) and get this a Corvette engine, Crossfire II Luxury model will have Navigation (the real thing), IPod, hard top convertible on a very limited number, new wheels and a varity of new colors.
Signed,
Broke but connected!

I'm still waiting for the tooth fairy too. Income is just something that puts gas in the toys, beer in the fridge, and taters on the table. But these days, I'm not so sure about gas in the toys...

I must admit I'm in the upper tier of income. But from my perspective that really doesn't mean anything. I have been fortunate to have a good career. Having good friends, family and being able to share your interests (Crossfires) with other passionate people is wonderful. My other car is an 1993 RX7 twin turbo. I'm the original owner and it is undergoing a full rebuild. Chassis engine new paint etc. The crossifre is a second car for me but for now it is my DD. I bought the SRT6 for 24K with 56 miles on the odo. I think this was a terrific price. It's interesting to hear everyones comments about these wonderful cars. Performance is outstanding and it is a joy to drive. It will be interesting to see if th Firepower is made.
