Re: Your income level
I'm assuming your in the 100k-150k bracket? If I made that much money I would of bought a Carrera turbo.

Re: Your income level
Maybe those that got to the $100-150K bracket did so by seeking out and buying the best performance automotive bargain (and other things) on the market - currently "new" 2005 SRT-6s...maybe the $100-150K is too low to identify the upper echelons as the % of poll results are too large...maybe uniqueness is more important than "everyone" knowing you can afford a Cayman S, Boxster S or trying to find your BMW at the local mall...maybe maybe maybe...anyway - just having fun.

Re: Your income level
I incuded my wife's income in this purchase since it is OUR car. Considering discounts, we may buy another one in the next year, which will be my daily driver. I am all for cheap cars as a daily driver, but when the cheapest car I can tolerate for a DD is around 20 grand (new, that is) spending $25,000 doesn't seem so bad. At that point I would just include my own income. Interesting results for the poll so far though, and not really unexpected. No matter how you look at it this car is still a niche market, even with the discounts.

The Crossfire & the Current Market Prices for the Crossfire, make this a Rare Bird!
It is purchased by the Full Range of income levels, from the poor young College student to the most Successful Businessman.
It also appeals to the Full Spectrum of Buyers, from the young High School Girl to the Most Senior of the Driving Males.
It is truly unique!
I love it!

Re: Your income level
With the discounts etc this is an affordable car for most people. I bought this car because it was the most bang for my buck. I test drove a new BMW 335xi the same day I bought my Crossfire, with incentives etc I bought my 2006 limited untitled with 23 miles for $21,873 out the door. The BMW was nicer but I am only home about 3 months total a year and I don't need to impress anyone. The sad part is most people cannot afford the car they drive. If you can't put a down payment on a car and pay off in 3 maybe 4 years max you simply cannot afford the car. The community I live in is loaded with households with incomes in excess of $150K that have negative net worth. The one couple that lives down the road from me has an H2 and a 5 series BMW but when you go in their house they have cheap furniture and decorations because they are strapped with 2 expensive cars and a big mortgage.
