Unbelievable - Crossfires Displayed at Las Vegas Car Show
Went to the Las Vegas Car Show yesterday and the Chrysler section actually had two Crossfires on display - a machine gray coupe and saphire silver blue roadster. They were 2007 models and were priced about $35K and $40K respectively. Both cars attracted a number of people. The machine gray color looks really nice and the coupe also had it's spoiler deployed. Last year Chrysler did not have any Crossfires present. Come to think of it Chrysler did not have any SRT vehicles last year or this year either.
Nothing major at the show other than a number of hybrid vehicles based on existing vehicles. It does seem that retro is in big time since the Chevy Aveo door mirrors are adjusted with manual levers and, I kid thee not, the Nissan Murano radio not only had a slot for CDs, but also one for cassette tapes!
The biggest hoot was outside in the parking lot. I went with a friend and we parked somewhat out in the boonies next to a Chevy SSR, under the theory that owners of nicer cars will be nice to your car and not leave a door ding. When we returned the SSR was gone and in it's space was a Lexus 470, and on the other side of us was a BMW 328. And no new door dings so maybe there is something to that theory.

I assume that it was a new car show. If so that's amazing! That's further proof that Chrysler's marketing department s**ks when it comes to the xfire.
