Talking My newest mod.

Here is a pic of my new "wings" color matched to my car. Also I added Dan's emblems. Has anyone else color matched the wings to their car? I just thought the chrome stood out too much and wanted something a little more inconspicuous. I love Dan's emblems! They look amazing in person. I'll take some more pics once I get everything put back together and get a good day to clean "nosferatu" up some. It's been rainy and snowy here for a while.

I didn't strip the chrome. I sanded them with 100 to get some texture on them. Then sanded them again with 600. Then primed it. Sanded with 600 and sprayed 3 coats of paint. (Crossfire brand actually) 2 coats of clear. Wet sand with 600 and then a final coat of clear.

Thanks again Dan. Love the emblems. Even more so now with the wings blacked. I thought about having you make me a custom image one that says "nosferatu" instead of crossfire but since I debadged it I figured I would leave crossfire somewhere on the car. The extra was great. Trying to find somewhere on the interior for it.

Girlfriend is having surgery tomorrow so I won't be able to put "nosferatu" back together until Thursday or Friday and get it all shined up. I will do my best to post some pics with wings back on by the weekend. I think there is a market for the color matching but the paint is the big issue with it. One pint of color matched paint was $39.95 plus shipping, plus clear coat, plus reducer.

I've been thinking about doing my wings in a mat Silver like the side vents and windshield molding. Considering that there is no other chrome on the car, I think they are too bright, but do like the Contrast...

That's funny, NeverEnough. I was thinking of doing the exact opposite: chroming all the matte stuff. I know it's been done before, but chrome and a black car go together so well.

I think a Police Officer who has given his car the "persona" of histories ultimate "Blood Sucker" has a story to tell.

You should now get a set of the black "eye lids" for your head lamps.

Not sure if you should black out the tail lamps... I think the red of the tail lights matches nicely with your bumper and back window.

You should be able to sneek up on them in the dark now.

Have you done anything with your wheels?

We all have our secrets! lol. I've been a big horror movie person for a long long long time. I've always loved the stories of vampires, dracula, Vlad The Impaler and such. Black and red just fit together. All of my tattoos are done in completely black and red ink as well. Ironic enough, they are all Christian tattoos!

Haven't done the wheels yet. Working on that. I am getting new tires tomorrow. Goodyear F1 all-season. I am going to use a gunmetal powder coat finish on my wheels. I photoshopped just doing the inset lines on each spoke in black and had mixed feelings. I think the gunmetal is going to work out best.
