Default Snow tires

For those of you that live in northern areas and rely on the Crossfire everyday, what do you do for winter tires? I have not seen Blizzaks in the 18" size.

I don't own a Crossfire but I'm sure those large summer tires get terrible traction in the snow.

I just ordered a set of these - I hope they'll be installed this week...

If you're looking to stay with a wide tire, try a set of Goodyear F1 all season tires. So far this winter in Wisconsin (2 feet of snow so far this month) these tires are awesome in snow. I would recommend them to anyone with a car that comes with wide tires. Good luck.

Thanks for the quick response. I didn't think a good traction 18" tire was available. Good to know.

I am interested in buying a Crossfire SRT but first must sell my MR2 Spyder. It will be a daily driver.

If you are subject to snow and ice of any kind, I would not suggest that you use All Season tires. They do not offer the same characteristics as winters.

Personally I use
Yokohama AVS Winter in 225/40-18 on MB replica rims.

And for any of our users in Quebec. They have just passed a law that makes Winter tires mandatory between Nov. 15 and Apr. 15. starting next fall.

I doubt it unless they set up a station at the crossings selling or renting tires or if they finally succeed in seceding.
