Default Passenger Airbag OFF light

On my car the passenger airbag light flashes on for a second when I turn on the car and then turns off. The light does not turn on regardless if there is or is not someone sitting there. On a different type of car, the light turns on as soon as it detects that no one is sitting there. Is this normal for the light to be off all the time in the crossfire?

The air bag light comes on when you disable the air bag. It can be disabled by inserting the key into the switch located on the passenger side dash and turing it off, You will have to open the passenger side door to see it. When you do this the air bag light will remain on to indicate the air bag is off. I do it when I have one of my small grandchildren riding with me.

On all the time when disabled - Off all the time when enabled.
Doesn't matter if someone is sitting in the passenger seat.

I'm getting my TPMS sensors replaced because the dealer probly has no clue how to fix it. When I saw the airbag light not on I thought to myself..."Oh no! my airbag light is broken too." Good to know that that's how it's supposed to be because my dealer doesn't even know how to program a key.
