I wouldn't worry about 1/4 mile times with this car, that isn't what it's about. I'm pretty involved in the PT Cruiser community, specifically those of us with the turbo models (same engine as the Dodge SRT4) and plenty of these cars are running in the mid to high 13s with fairly light mods. Mine runs low 14s with really nothing more than the Stage 1 computer and a buddy of mine has his set up for road racing along with the engine mods. He would smoke my Crossfire in a straight up 1/4 mile drag race, but we've been on a road course together and he couldn't hold a candle to me. And that's with his suspension beefed up, lowered, stiffened, sticky tires, etc. He's making about 265HP AT THE WHEELS (!!!) and didn't stand a chance against me. Plus he's got waaaaay more seat time in his car than I have in mine (it was my first time on track with the Crossfire). And before you laugh at the thought of a PT Cruiser running a road course, you need to check out the videos made by our very own forum member woody back when he had a PT. And his was a Euro spec non-turbo making 100HP LESS than my PT Cruiser makes. I also personally know a couple of guys running low 12 second ETs in daily driven PT Cruisers, and one of them has even run an 11.96 (big turbo kit, piggyback ECU, new fuel system, etc). Still, a plain old naturally aspirated bone stock Crossfire would eat them alive where it really matters - all around driveability.

Besides, lateral Gs are much more fun anyway!!
