Re: So how's the winter driving?
I've had the car for about three years. I have a truck so I've been able to avoid driving the Crossfire in the snow until a couple of weeks ago. There was a forecast for rain but we got about 3 inches of snow instead. I had a 20+ mile drive home. Mostly rural roads with rolling hills. The road hadn't been plowed but had been broken up by other traffic.
I made it all of the way to the bottom of my driveway without a problem but then couldn't get up the drive.
Well, I guess I found the best place to get stuck.

Same here... I have a real winter too, ostie. No way could the Xfire negotiate the snow we've been having this year. I can hardly wait for it to melt so that I can go pick her up. I also look forward to finding my sunglasses which I'm sure are in the %&@ glovebox. Also, in Montreal I'm pretty sure the potholes could swallow a Xfire whole. I used to live in the Plateau and more than once I had to get my front end fixed because of a pothole. Sink holes, more like!
Re: So how's the winter driving?
My Jeep is in the body shop so I am driving my Xfire. Yesterday we had 1.5" and I was worried. No problem, the car took it like a pro and even went up my steep driveway. Another storm forecast for tomorrow so I guess I can try again. Thankfully I am supposed to get my Jeep back tomorrow and can keep my Xfire parked unless the streets are dry and the sun is shining.
Re: So how's the winter driving?
We've had some crappy days but no long stretches here yet I find the Crossfire is staying in the garage a lot more this winter. It will no doubt be grounded again tomorrow as we are going to have snow and then ice. I'm a mile from work so I can walk, no need to take chances.
