Default Bas Esp

i unhooked my battery and now my BAS ESP light is on. what does that mean?

It says something about synchronizing in the owner's manual. I think it was some weird procedure

Syncronization is easy. Turn on the engine and rotate your steering wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right. Drive normally. The light should go off.

Mine has done this twice, both times in wet weather. The spoiler goes up and has to be put down manually when this has happened. I do the reset but it seems to take a while before the computer resets itself. We had the same issue with our Mercedes C240 4 Matic and they had to replace the steering angle sensor.
