Default Cracked valve stem...

Hey everyone...I just found out my valve stem on the rear driver's side is cracked. I took it into the dealer and of course, they didn't have the part in stock...they said they would order it and it should be in tomorrow...the price is $162...my question is, shouldn't this be covered under warranty?

Do you still have the bumper to bumper, it wouldnt be covered under drivetrain

It's a 2005 with 28,000 miles on it...so, I'm not sure. I know I got the full extended warranty as well...

The valve stem, which is usually replaced when you get new shoes?
I would seroiusly consider putting in a regular stem without TPS.

The part number is 5096808AA and list price is $120.00, I would check around because you should be able to buy it under a bill.

It seems that this would be covered under my warranty. It's a 2005 with 28,000 miles on it...This is not something that seems like it would just break with wear and tear...it's a valve stem!!! Is there anything I could say to convince the dealership otherwise if this is not covered?

It shouldn't break under normal conditions, but you could have caught it against a curb, car wash may have damaged it, somebody kicked it - I'm just being the service dept. ant the stealership!!!

I believe, if you put a non TPS valve stem on it you will have to disable the fearure so the dash doesn't keep warning you of a low tire. I think you can just remove the fuse ???
