From normal use!

I'm glad I don't have that cupholder after hearing all the complaints.

Yeah it's a terrible design. Average life-span of one of those is 5 minutes.

There must be a mechanism inside that "catches" the cupholder part when you raise it up all the way. Well, my "catcher" is broken. It just falls back down....

Why is it so important to have to be able to drink and drive ? I guess there's a lot of people who don't have their coffee before they leave the house.

Well AIG the cupholder isnt the selling point of the car. It would just be convenient sometimes to have a better one.

Oh... be careful with styrofoam cups. I had a Sonic slush spill all over my console and seat before I managed to throw it out the window. Was not being careful and accidentally poked a hole in the cup. The Sonic girl gave me a new slushie though. Gave her a good tip.

Holds a can OK.....interferes with shifting a little....but, when there's a can in the cupholder....best to be shifting conservatively anyway.....!

well, us folk from los angeles are on the freeway so much, we do a lot of things. drink coffee, eat breakfast, day dream, take a nap, wake up, eat a snack, hey it is only 3/4 mile til my exit! yay! then, by the time we get to work, it feels like we had been on an airplane for 5 hours and have jet lag. hmmmm, think i should move closer to work? of course i love working late nights- top down, no traffic- wheee!!! so yeah, i'd appreciate a nice cup holder.
