Default to everyone here...

i just wanted to say thanks to everyone, i feel i have made some friends here even though our "debating" over modifications sometimes got a lil out of hand lol. i also feel i have gained some trust from a few members about these issues and i really appreciate that. i just hope that once i sell my car i can still be active with this group, possibly meet up with you guys, and maybe help some locals turn some wrenchs lol. anyway thanks for the wealth of knowledge i have obtained and the good times had in advance!

You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave...
Once a forum member always a member. You will regret selling the x-fire.

Irwin think twice before you sell your car, after all, they really aren't worth that much. So unless you absolutely need the extra money for a down payment, I'd keep it.
I made the mistake of selling my perfect, all original 1969 "Hemi" Super Bee back in 1975 for $2,400 just to make a bigger down paymet on my first house. As it turned out, I think I lowered my house payment by about $7 or $8 a month, which made it $201 per month.

You're always welcome here Irwin!

you can't leave anyhow...you're an addict. Besides, if you leave I'll be the only a-hole here! You know you love a good argument!

+Fireamx...$201 a month...wow...when they invented electricity how long did it take you to have it installed in that house!

Yeah the candle light never bothered me that much, but the "out house" was a real pain in the butt.

Irwin, I second +Fireamx, I sold the '65 Mustang I had in high school and have regretted it ever since. I wish someone had kicked my butt when i made that stupid decision...You got something special and it s going to be tuff getting back what you put into it...In the end the decision is yours and you know what's more important for now.

what the ****? didn't expect this... why Irwin? especially with all those modifications you did.. hope you know that the car is worth little, and there is certainly no replacement at anywhere near this price? Whatever man it is clearly your car and your choice, but definatly give it some thought... either way you will be missed.. stop by some time.. check out my modifications

Ditto, I think many of us now realize that selling that sweetheart of a car was a mistake, and hard to get that same car back.

Still have my first car (custom 1965 Chevelle)! I knew I would regret it some day if I sold it, so I just kept it!!

lmfao! i was wondering when that was gonna come back to haunt me! its not that i need the money for a down payment its the payment itself. i bought my car before the prices drop and due to some stuff on my credit, that were all mistakes, i ended up with a high intrest rate. at the time it was fine, i figured i would just refinance when i got these issues straightend out. but when i went to refi the price had dropped so much that no one would give me a loan for the car so now im stuck with the payment. my car note is about $670 a month, plus my truck payment and insurance on 3 vehicles.... so i figured i would get rid of the xf and come back strong at a later date... with an srt 6! dont worry guys itll prolly only be for a short while until i get everything settled. but i will have an srt one day maybe in a year or 2 and it will be much sicker! i will be getting my celica back soon which used to run 11 sec. quarters and im building a pro street ford ranger plus my jacked up 07 silverado lol i have lots of toys still lol. but i need to get rid of the 700 dollar payment so i can get a low risk loan on my house and so i can feel secure in making my mortgage and be able to fix the place up some. dont worry one day one of you guys will be selling your car and i wont be able to resist! hell who knows after boot camp i might go and take all the saved up loot and drop it all on an srt!

Irwin - the other Pat told me about the soccer ball "incident". I had to give you a hard time about it. I hope you can get down to Burtonsville in a few weeks when the Cruise In start up again. I will keep everyone posted so we can all meet up. I hope at some point you can pick up another Crossfire, its a fun car to own. Sounds like you are doing the smart thing. So good luck with everything and don't be a stranger around here!
Pat

Irwin, you've paid your dues and earned your chops. I don't think there
is any reason why you shouldn't continue to post here. If you've got to
take a forced break from driving a Crossfire, it don't mean you can't still
keep up the chat. And, we all know that Crossfires are now in your blood,
so we expect you to be prowling in another soon enough. Good luck!

Coyote

You may call yourself "the devil" -- but you're really not that at all. You've shown yourself to be a good guy with some very clever ideas, and someone who won't take childish crap from anyone else, either. So please stick around here, and get that badboy SRT, too!
