Default 6-speed popping out of 1st gear.

I recently bought a 04 black 6-speed couple on ebay. When taking off from a stop the transmission sometimes likes to pop out of 1st gear and go into neutral. Anyone else had this problem or know a fix?

How many miles on the car? Does it happen even when you have your hand on the stick? Can you hold it in first & keep it from happening?

Do a search. There is a TSB on this.

...and much has been written on the topic. The problem showed up on cars made before Dec '03.
