i ran a 15.3 at 2600 feet in Tucson AZ. but.......... i couldnt get my 60ft down! i too drive a 6spd. pull the 17 and 18 fuses and the cars awsome! you just have to be careful not to over rev before launching cus the car will bog down id say 1500 to 2500 is you best bet but i only got a chance to run the car twice because of how packed the track was. i think i could have broken 14s easy if i nailed the launch.
^ No traction control here. Don't know if it will help the launch any with the open diff... but it certainly won't be applying the brakes on me.
EDIT: Although your screen name implies you own an 04. And there has been some concern that the TCS fuses don't even exist on that model year. Good Luck.

theres a thread on the forum about pulling the fuses. it only works on mid year 04s and up... i think! do a search and youll see. i pulled mine on my 05 and roasted the tires before i staged! it was awsome!!!! i have a 6spd so that helps.

^ If the "active traction control" light comes on... you are screwed.
I pulled one of my 2 appropriately labeled fuses (available in my 07 model year crossfire), the ABS and Stability management malfuction lights popped up on the right side of the cluster, and I can spin one wheel at a time till the cows come home... for whatever that is worth.
