That sucks... sorry man. I guess its been a bad year for crossfires on this forum. At least he didnt hit the deer, those things go right through the windsheild.

Sorry to hear about that Irwin - Glad your OK

On the bright side - If the insurance company totals her - you can go out and get a black SRT6 -

Irwin, sorry to hear about the accident, glad you weren't banged up
more than you were. You will be missed at the gathering, but hopefully
there will be a bright light at the end of the tunnel. If the insurance
company totals the Crossfire, maybe there is an SRT-6 in your future.
Best of luck,

Coyote

Damn, sorry to hear about your loss. Good to know you're okay. I have had a few close calls with the deer and elk up here, but have been fortunate enough to not suffer this fate. Best of luck with the insurance company.

Well, look at the bright side Irwin, now you don't have to worry about another defective flywheel.

hit a tree trying to miss a deer tonight, tried to upload pics but it keeps f'ing up i need to know what you guys think. i hit the tree... about 5 feet in diameter at around 40mph on the passenger side headlight, of course bumper is gone hood is done pass fender is tucked behind the door, pass wheel is tucked up into the fender and the whole pass side seems to be a fair amount lower including the rear, which the rear tire is now tucked up into the fender well. the engine is knocking badly seems all the coolant ran out and when i stumbled out of it i forgot to turn the car off, and it over heated, was smoking and the whole bit. the pass side airbag deployed the driver side did not, broke the windshield, it seems the radiator core support is pushed back pretty far, there looked to be no room between the motor and fan.

Looks like the wheels are savlagable... Time for that SRT6 upgrade...

Then just put your mods on that... *hugs*

EDIT: As to if it's totaled... probably is. There is deformation of the passenger protection cage and also looks as if energy was trasmitted all the way down the passenger side. I suspect it's toast.

A pretty good indication on if it will be totalled is if there's any change in gap between the door and the surrounding area of the door.

If there's a noticable change in the gap then it's usually beyond reasonable repair.
