I just hit 31k miles and have had NO problems at all. (knocking on wood) It's a daily driver, but I do live relatively close to my job. I can take the interstate or city streets to work. I do work uptown, so there is a little city driving everyday. Love my car...all 31,000 miles of it!

I bought my XF in Nov of '07. Basically drove it home and stored it for the winter. I have an 04 coupe with 7000 miles! Just had it out for the first time this week and drove around town and then today, I took a 200 mile trip. Everything seems to be fine, the car is like new! One thing I noticed is a rattle noise when the car is running, sitting idle in nuetral, clutch out. Press the clutch in, noise goes away. I did a search here on the forum for "clutch noise" and found a thread that stated it may be the "throw out bearing" but not to worry, should cause no harm?? I'm hoping this the case.... Sometimes I get reading the horror stories some fellow XF owners are having, but I guess that happens with all makes and models!!Other than that, I'm loving the car so far.

I previously owned a first-year 350Z that made this same noise. It also went away when the clutch was depressed. I took it back to the dealer several times and they always advised me nothing was wrong. I ended up having the transmission replaced (not related to the noise) and the car continued to make the noise afterwards. It continued making the noise up until the time it was wrecked.

Just under 30,000 miles. It is our only car, and has been mostly trouble free (couple of electrical problems which showed up early). Knock on wood.

Coupegirl's original engine went tick, tick, tick....
The '04 coupe (still for sale!) now has 58K on it & other than for the ashtray not popping out there isn't a single thing screwy with it.

My 04 Coupe now has 30069 miles on it now. It is a great car, and has not had any major issues.

For an '04 I guess mine is aged slightly more than the other members but not much! 52,500 mi. approximately and counting. I am the second owner and I bought it with 48,000 miles so it had alot of time spent in limbo between dealers and auctions. Transmission replaced around 30K miles by the first owner. I had the rear differential replaced shortly after purchase (under powertrain warranty thank God) at 48,500 miles. I think that the '04 had the most kinks of all the years produced.

they replaced the lifter, and when they put it back together still had the tick, so replaced the whole engine block and all.... I have only a few thousand miles on it
