Some people store a tire plug repair kit, others a small tool kit.
I have my inflatable passenger there for the HOV lane.
Drugs, weapons, you name it
Maybe the Germans designed it just so all the nosey people would say...
"Hey, what's the hole for under the carpet in the trunk - what do the SLK guys get that we don't."

You can always tell a northern state Crossfire owner by their trunk.
I keep a fold-up shovel there in the winter months. Might need to dig-out when there's an inch of snow!

THE HAVE A FIRST AID KIT FOR RIGHT HAND DRIVE OVERSEA'S CARS PART#5102755AA THAT LOOKS LIKE IT GOES THERE THEY ALSO COME WITH A CAUTION TRIANGLE PART#5102801AA I ORDERED THE FIRST AID KIT TODAY IT WILL BE HERE NEXT WEEK I WILL POST A PICTURE.......

small tool kit and its the main area all the lines for the nitrous and bottle opener etc run through...other side has been cut out to fit the methanol bottle and the jack daniels-alcohol for me and the car
