Default Crossfire withdrawl

Mike (+fireamx) caught suffering Crossfire withdrawl while in Vegas. It's been over 2 weeks since his car went into the shop (still not fixed) and he's going home tomorrow to an empty garage

I'll bet it will be hard for them to leave, I'm sure you all had a nice visit. I figured they were probably about ready to come back because the weather has taken a turn for the worse, I'm sure they will be excited to come back to the possabiltiy of a little snow
Glad Mike could get a little "fix" of your Crossfire...thanks for the photo

He had a dead battery and then it would start and run for about 10 seconds and shut off, they were thinking maybe something wrong with ignition module? I'm sure Mike will fill you in better when he gets home. Hopefully they have it figured out soon.

Sorry for the slow reply guys, but I thought I'd wait until I got home to get an update on my car before I made a post.
After having a really nice week in Vegas with our Daughter and her Boyfriend, We came home only to find out there has been no progress on our Crossfire. They haven't even ordered the new battery that they originally told me I needed 2&1/2 weeks ago, that took 10 days to get.
The Tech. is still stumped, and Chrysler really hasn't given him much useable info to go on. He talked to 2 different Mercedes dealers about the problem, and was told (basically) the Crossfire uses some different parts in their systems so they really couldn't help. I'd love to know exactly what parts in the Crossfire's security system "isn't" Mercedes and what "is" Chrysler.
Kevin (the Tech.) even went above and beyond the call of duty to check out a fellow forum members (Towncrier) car to make some readout comparisons at 11:00 PM one night (they're friends) and discovered that some information Chrysler had supplied him wasn't accurate. So go figure.
This whole thing has really got me bummed out, I've never had a car that had something wrong with it that couldn't be diagnosed.
I bought this car in spite of the fact it was basically a Mercedes, now I'm begining to think I may have broke my cardinal rule, "stay away from exotics".
VQ35DE, You're right, I may just have to fire up the Dodge.

Hi Mike -

Sorry you couldn't make it back to the Tail of the Dragon this spring.

I hope they figure out what's up with your "new AMX" soon.

Hey Jeff, I'll be looking forward to the Fall Dragon GTG. That is if I get my car back by then.
DNR...The Big Deal is I only drive my Crossfire 8 months out of the year, and it looks like April is pretty much a wash.
I'm very fortunate to have an excellent Technician working on my car, who has been going way out of his way, and spending alot of his own free time trying to determine my cars defect. But Chrysler and Mercedes doesn't make it very easy, when they don't even list a part # in their data base for one of the parts he thinks it needs.
I don't know for sure if this has anything to do with what actually caused my cars problems, but what ever you do, keep your batterys charged up.
It probably wouldn't be so bad but the weather here in N.E.Ohio has been beautiful for the last few days. And to add insult to injury, I've seen no less than 10 different Crossfires in the last 2 days. That's more than I've seen since last November at the Dragon.

Believe me Coupe Girl, I felt bad for Ya during your engine rebuild.
The difference is, You can drive your car year round down in Fla. Nice sunny days are usually a rare commodity here in Ohio, but it seems like we've had quite a few ever since my car has been out of service.
By the way, why are you selling your car? Is it because You like the "style" of the newer Crossfires better.
