My first thought on all custom paint jobs is resale value. You better find someone who likes it as much as you do!

there is way too much contrast on that scheme. maybe silver or a different shade of red would work, but the only black on that car is the tires. as it is, i would say, no. well... it is better than the now infamous: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BRAND...QQcmdZViewItem

I feel the same about any Mod that can’t be easily reversed to make the car original for resale. However, resale isn't much of an issue for the Crossfire. Owners seem to be having trouble giving them away. Good thing I like mine and plan to keep it!
But, it’s your car. Do want you want. It certainly would make it unique, and actually looks OK. Just a bit radical for my taste.

If that was say... a silver or slightly darker or lighter shade of red... or maybe a graphite... then it might work... as others have said... too much black on the paint and not enough anywhere else.

If you plan on keeping it until it dies or you do... then by all means ... paint it up.

Personally, I may do some accenting on mine eventually, but for now, I'm going to pour my money into the "GO!" not the "Show"...

Cheers!

I think the back looks good, not so much the front IMHO.

Good feedback, I'm sure I will go through several designs. I'm a good ways off from doing it if I do it at all. Really just looking for something simple that accents the cars lines and isn't mucho expensive.

I also thought about the two tone. I thought about painting the top half black and from the hood/ door handle area down Silver. (or vice versa) I will have to photo shop it too. Before I go and do it. I remember one of the guys out of Houston did his car about a month ago. Orange and black I think.

I agree, I like it looking at the back but not the front.

I think the wing should be dark too. Carry the whole stripe from front to back.
Looks kind of Veyronish.

The only problem I see is that MacIntosh sticker on the window!

Yeah, you would have to get that worm infested apple off the window. It distracts so badly.
