'08 Crossfire $$
A dealer told me yesterday that there was no $10,000-$12,000 Chrysler-to-dealer cash on the 2008 Crossfire Ltd Coupe. He said that was only on the 2007 and some 2006 model years. Irony--he just sold his last leftover but could get me an '08 at $2,000 off the sticker. He said that the markup between invoice & sticker on all Crossfires was $2,500. What say you?
Central Chrysler in Norwood MA is advertising 2008 Crossfires for $10,000 off of sticker price, in the Boston papers. I think the dealer you spoke with is speaking with a forked tongue.

From my current understanding of the price structure, there technically isnt actually $10,000 off the sticker price of the car. What Chrysler is doing is offereing over $10,000 in dealer incentives to move the cars off the lot. So what most/all respectable dealerships is passing this $10k incentive onto the customer and basically breaking even +/- just to get the cars off the lot like Chrysler wants. This for the dealer doesn't provide much in the way of short-term profit, but does however show The Chrysler Group that they are doing what is asked in a speedy efficient manner. Therefore, Chrysler is more inclined to send those dealerships what they request by way of dealer inventory, knowing they will move them off the lot while still turning a profit for Chrysler (which we all know they need right now).
