I was downtown just saturday night and i floored it at the lights,
next thing you know i hear a guy yell
"WOOOHOOO NICE ******* CAR DOOOD!"

I always wonder if the guy destroying his car and wasting $4 per gallon gas is a total retard. But that's just me.

 

It's rare that I floor it from a stoplight.........all my cars do is spin the tires like crazy and go sideways.

 

Wondering how one would "wonder of" something. I usually think "that guy's in a hurry to stop again." I hate the lights in this town, one turns green and the next promptly turns red.

Actually, young kids are thinking "Cool, or dope, or whatever they say now!" Mature drivers are thinking "What a jacka$$, hope he gets a ticket!" I think, "Man, it would be nice to roast the tires, but they cost a lot and so do tickets and insurance!"

 

It's kinda funny this thread popped up. I have always had Jeeps, pickups, etc. This is my first "fast" car, and I love my limited, never will trade it in....... unless an SRT pops up in my future.

But anyway, I get a lot of attention in the car, as well I should, I think. Sometimes, not the best attention though. I go to an automotive school, Universal Technical Institute, and the median age is probably 19 or 20. They either have their Mustangs or their Jap-Crap. Either way, usually @ stoplights someone pulls up to me @ least once a day revving their engine, and I'm the one thinking they're an idiot.

Last week in class, we were talking about this during break and I said "Yeah, there was this douchebag in a white mustang behind me coming into school revving his engine like some moron." Little did I know, the moron was sitting across from me in the classroom. I am in no way apologetic for saying what I said, although I am sorry he had to find out he's a douchebag that way.

 

revving your engine is just faggotry. I can't stand it.. especially when someone in some crappy eclipse does it.

I hate driving about right when the high school kids let out... they are so immature. Oh how I wish I was at the front of the stoplight with him... would have shut his *** up.

 

Yeah, tell that to the guys in the race prepped Spec Miatas that I hunted down and passed at a recent track day. Or the C5 Corvette I was rapidly catching before the session ended. Or the 911 driver who almost rear ended me when, and I quote: "I followed you through the banking figuring I was just stuck behind this Crossfire but when we reached the braking zone I realized I was going almost 10mph faster there than I ever had before, and then realized I couldn't stop as fast as you can. That car surprised the hell out of me"

It's fine when the car has enough cylinders..............I LOVE the sound of my 6.1L Hemi with PnP heads/cam and straight exhaust with no cats; pure bliss. It's also fun when I rev my engine in the Crossfire(stock exhaust) at my boss' Lambo Murcielago...........makes us both laugh.
