Luv my Vred's -- went to 275/30=19 on the back, 235/40=18 front, run 38psi all and they handle great in the heat here. No noise issue either......

I plan to get 275/35/19 on the rear when my pilot sports wear out.

Hankook tires are fantastic if you have not considered those.

Thumbs up Re: What are the best tires to get for Xfire?

I have ~ 100 miles on new Falken 452's 275/30X20's and 235/35X19's.

I like them. Sticky and very quiet.

I'm a big fan of Falkens. Where did you get these and how much? (if you don't mind me asking)

True when comparing tires from the same manufacturer. Not as reliable when comparing between manufacturers.

Next I think I'll try the Vredenstein's:

I've also heard good things about the Kuhmo Ecsta SPT's if you can use a thre season tire.

I think all three of these are excellent, and the prices are all fairly friendly.
I have the Vredesteins and they are terrific tires. Far better than either of the OEM tires that came on XFires. The Vrestein Sessantas have a wicked tread pattern and are not unidirectional.

I Just put Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetrics ROF on the back of mine, man what a difference, can totally feel the grip. I had all season Continentals prior, 0 to a 100 alot quicker...

It all depends on what you need. I have Continental DWSs on mine but my main concern is wet traction (why I usually get Michelins) since we get over 50"/year. Now for track day you want something closer to a slick with a wear index around 200 (some events have a minimum for street tires).

Best is to have two sets of wheels & tires, one for cruising and another for "other" else you will always be compromising.

Part of the answer would be to ask how and where you drive.

I run Continental DWS tires because I drive the car all year in the Chicago area. Plenty of rain and snow sometimes. In spite of them being an excellent tire in the snow, they still get great dry grip and traction. I've driven in some pretty deep snow without getting stuck ever.

I run 235/40/18 front & 285/35/19 on the back.

Didn't some one on the forum just buy a new set(4) of the Barum Bravuris 3hn tires? I was looking at them, rated at 40,000 miles and quiet running being what I would be looking for? Not the overall selection of other tire manufactures, but looks like a good buy for your buck$. Also rated as an excellent rain tire.

I have a set of these and I am quite happy with them, they are quiet and they do well in the rain, their performance is as they are advertised. Plus they have a y speed rating when these wear out I will buy another set.
