Next I think I'll try the Vredenstein's:

I've also heard good things about the Kuhmo Ecsta SPT's if you can use a thre season tire.
I think all three of these are excellent, and the prices are all fairly friendly.

It all depends on what you need. I have Continental DWSs on mine but my main concern is wet traction (why I usually get Michelins) since we get over 50"/year. Now for track day you want something closer to a slick with a wear index around 200 (some events have a minimum for street tires).
Best is to have two sets of wheels & tires, one for cruising and another for "other" else you will always be compromising.

Re: What are the best tires to get for Xfire?
Part of the answer would be to ask how and where you drive.
I run Continental DWS tires because I drive the car all year in the Chicago area. Plenty of rain and snow sometimes. In spite of them being an excellent tire in the snow, they still get great dry grip and traction. I've driven in some pretty deep snow without getting stuck ever.
I run 235/40/18 front & 285/35/19 on the back.

Didn't some one on the forum just buy a new set(4) of the Barum Bravuris 3hn tires? I was looking at them, rated at 40,000 miles and quiet running being what I would be looking for? Not the overall selection of other tire manufactures, but looks like a good buy for your buck$. Also rated as an excellent rain tire.
