What are the best tires to get for Xfire?
I have an 04 limited, the tires are original and completely worn out. Ready for a new set.
What brands do you recommend for crossfire?
What do you guys use and what are you most satisfied with?
I need tires that are durable and have longevity.
I'd like to stick with 18s in the front and 19s in the back but might consider a wider tire but not one that would look ridiculous.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I went with Yokohama Advans... love the tires... they look pretty nice on the car too...
245/35R18s in the front and 295/30R19s in the back... my rims are slightly wider than stock though.

Thanks for the comliments...
I DO like the grip it gives me on the track and the street... I have a harder time spinning the tires for very long and the lateral Gs seem higher.
You can see I'm even getting some rear wheel lift in the first photo.
Cheers!

Come November I'm moving to Goodyear Eagle F1's. It came with the Pilot SP2's, but Philly winters can be nasty...too nasty for summer tires. I ran F1's on my Trans Am for years and they are freaking amazing. They are basically all-seasons that grip like summer tires.
I did a price comparo on the F1s in another thread that I'm reposting here:
Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season 255/35 ZR19 96Y XL VSB
Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season 225/40 ZR18 92Y VSB
Prices including shipping --
TireRack.com: $749.78
Tires-Easy.com: $888.83
DiscountTireDirect.com: $855

I currently have the Nitto Invos:

Next I think I'll try the Vredenstein's:

I've also heard good things about the Kuhmo Ecsta SPT's if you can use a thre season tire.
I think all three of these are excellent, and the prices are all fairly friendly.

i have the potenza re760 sports and got them as a local bargain tire since i found them in the best deal, and i love them. i came from the ps2's i had stock.
a coworker picked nitto 555's from discount tire and he's very happy with them comming from the continectal all season's stock.
i like mine better, but i haven't driven his car so no fair compairison.

UTQG (Uniform Tire Quality Grade) the tire manufacturers have a generic tire to use for quality. The base would be 100. The specific tire in question, their tire rating would be compared to that generic number. A tire with treadwear rating of 450 would last approximately 4.5 times longer that that "generic" tire. 450 vs. 100
