Question air conditioner max setting

On my crossfire, if I have the air conditioner button on, and I also press the re-circulation button in, nothing happens.

On my other cars, you can hear and feel a change because it switches the vents from outside air to inside air...thus giving you "max" cooling by re-cooling air conditioned air.

Is this a problem with my car...or do other crossfires have this same problem?

Thanks
Ben

I read in the owners manual that the system selects the recirculate function automatically sometimes based on the outside and inside temp of the car.

recirc button works depending on outside temp.
Today was high in the 80's and recirc did nothing.
If it is cooler outside the recirc button will have function.
There is some automation here.
Main thing is the car gets friggin COLD all the time either way !!!

i wanted to clarify the OP's comment... were you just concerned with the re-circ not making an audible on/off "click" or does it not actually blow cold...those are two completely separate issues

It blows cold air..but it doesn't make the vent closing noise, or increase the air force like it does in my other cars.

Thanks...I must of missed that when reading the manual...that makes sense now...though if it automatically selects the recirculate mode...wouldn't the light be on for the recirculate button? In my case...it was not lite at the time.

^ Mine never lights up unless I push the button, so I don't think it illuminates when the system is being smarter than the operator.

It doesn't work on mine if the fan is set on the lowest 2 notches. Is that the case with yours?
