Default snow tires?

Hello, I'm in central PA and the winters are nasty. I've always been sold on the blizzaks, but in our size are salty. Should I step down to a 15" with taller sidewall for the winter, or are other tires as good but more reasonable?

Hi there,

I am living in Finland and I am planning to drive my Xfire the whole year.

The tyres I was recommended for winter are the Dunlop SP winter sport 3D.

I am going the keep the Original rims, 18" front and 19" back.

these are good as the salesman said and they place them on some porsche and mercedes cars.

sheers

You probably can't go all the way down to 15" rims, but you should be able to go smaller than stock Crossfire OEM rims.

The stock rims on the SLK320 were 16", so that should be safe on a NA Crossfire.

Be sure to find a set with similar overall tire diameter for both the front and back to either the OEM summer or OEM winter reccomendations.

(I think the smallest rims that will clear the front brakes on an SRT6 are 17" rims.)

Chrysler suggests mounting 18" Front and Back the reason for this is the traction control.
Actually I beleave there are alot of great seasonal tire choices but I do go along with the 18" suggestion.
Enjoy the Ride...

Yeah, I only got the Perelli's because TireRack was out of Blizzaks and Dunlops, but I am really happy with them . I went through a couple pretty good storms and the Pirelliis plowed right through.
