Default sensor mania and car start blues

hello crossfire family,
i have seen simalar threads posted but wanted to start over with as many details as i can provide to all the XF savvy folks out there (this site has some brilliant minds).
my problem began two weeks ago....the first sensor light to come on ( i was driving at the time) was the BAS/ESP, shortly after the ABS, soon followed by ALL sensor lights (full cluster)...then speedometer, fuel guage, and tach all started jumping and dropping. getting my xf to the side of the road i noticed the power at the throttle was being lost (almost a sensation of not being able to shift out of low gear (its an automatic). immediatley i shut the car down to pop the hood and give everything a quick inspection and notice nothing abnormal. after about 10 mins of sitting the car restarted "normally" and no lights came on. the following day, returning home from a friends on my weekend roadtrip the same thing happens. only this time once i get it pulled off the highway she never started back up - i had to have her towed 40 miles to get back home. since then she has been at the dealership...initially the diagnostics showed nothing so the key was replaced...then nothing , wouldnt start but the computer was able to recognize a key, so on to the next guess. As of today they have now replaced the relay module and can now get it started but it will not stay started. i cannot afford to chase down ideas and guesses with $100 bills. as of wriitng this thats all the info i have....
can anyone out there tell me of similar experiences or does anyone have any info i can pass on to the technician. we are both at a loss?????
has anyone suffered from this problem and have since had the car fixed and back on the road? may-day may-day
thanks for any help you can provide!

Check the battery cables to make sure they are tight on the battery.

I, too would check the battery. My F**d suffered the same thing. Every time the battery would disconnect, and reconnect while I was driving, all the lights would turn on. It seems I forgot to tighten the battery terminal.
