Default Fixed Brake Squeal + Lotus

Had this tiny brake squeal you could only hear with the windows down at slow speeds (even when not applying the brakes sometimes).....so I took someone's advise....took it out to the most deserted major highway in the area with the intention of running it up to about 120 & slamming on the brakes & repeating the process a few times. When I got to the spot .....there's this beautiful little red Lotus going 70......So there I am blowing past this Lotus & slamming on the brakes....repeatedly....he probably thought I was some kind of weirdo trying to impress him??? Anyway, the squeal has disappeared!!!

LOL You could have told him that it's the mating ritual of the Crossfire.

Bedding the brakes really works but I don't think you need to go to the extreme of 120mph and then slam on the brakes. You don't want to lock up the wheels. First warm the brakes with a few firm stops from about 40mph, then do a few firm strong stops from 60-80mph. That should do it. Also it should be done when after the last stop, you can continue for several miles without stopping, to cool the brakes and not stay stopped with the pads touching the rotors.
