Looks interesting and for 100.00 bucks it would be a nice mod. I'm thinking it would work nicely were the coin holder is. I sent them an email inquiring about it, lets see what they say....

I have seen a lot of people use a Honda S2000 push button start. You can move the 12v outlet down to the passenger foot well and use the empty hole to mount the switch.

YouTube video of a start button where 12v outlet was.

Here is a link to an install in a Miata and a link to the switch $38.30.

The switch is at the bottom of the page.

Yeah that's cool. So the key can stay in your pocket? How does it work?

Your key has to be in the ignition to unlock the steering wheel. You turn it to the Run position then press start. Kind of for show thats all.

In my Prius it is has an ACC and a RUN feature as well as a STOP function.

If your key is already in the ignition to unlock the steering wheel why not just give it a turn, I'm pretty sure that will turn your car on too. Lol

I agree. The whole point is to be able to walk up to your car, jump in and push the button leaving the fob in your pocket.

I've rented a number of Nisson's that have this and it is a really cool feature.

With the XF if you have to insert the key anyway, it is a waste of time and money.

Thats the way my Prius worked. They use the SKS key from the Lexus in the Prius. You have the key fob in your pocket, walk up grab the handle and it unlocks , the two front door handles have sensors in them. The Lexus hybrid I drove has sensors in all the handles and it uses a credit card looking piece that you put in your wallet.
Put your foot on the brake press the start button and away you got in about 9 seconds.
It takes me that long just to make sure my skirt isn't outside my door when I close it.

I think the Corvettes had this feature years ago.

Ferraris, Lambos and other notables have had this Key & Button setup for years. That, and the S2000. It's just a racy feature that is cool. It obviously serves no practical purpose. It is cool though. I would do it if it turns out to be "plug and Play". I wouldn't do it if wire hacking was necessary.
