New guy here, first Crossfire... pic inside.
First of all guys, nice site. I picked up my 05 Crossfire on Monday, and have been browsing here for a couple weeks. There's a lot of nice info here. (I've already gone through the extensive detailing thread...and just clay barred and waxed today...and WOW.. It looks 10x better than when I bought the thing.)
I've looked at those emblems that an Admin makes here, and will be ordering soon, if they're still available.
Anyhow, I'm from south-east michigan, ann arbor/Ypsi area. I'm not new to modding cars/trucks, I've had a few other projects before this one.
I'm very pleased w/ the xfire and all the looks it gets.
I just went outside and snapped a few quick pics:

It's an 05, base, manual coupe, all stock (Which is exactly what I was looking for) I plan to possibly tint the windows, get a magnaflow exhaust, and change the emblems. I'll leave the stock wheels for a while, I loooove them.

I just came from a lifted jeep wrangler, so the ride, speed, and MPG on this is AMAZING.

And before that, was a shaved and bagged Ranger/lifted F-150/Taurus SHO

Anyways, sorry for the long intro post (I hope this is even in the right spot...)
Looking forward to many years and miles w/ the xfire

Thanks for the welcome!
The ranger is looong gone, it was a toy in high school that I likes to play with..but wasn't treating me well for daily driving.
I haven't stopped smiling since Monday... I think I've washed my xfire 3 times. lol. I feel like a 16 year old with his first car. I also want those illuminate door sills.

But I'm debating on how dark to go. My bro says 5% (VERY dark...) but I'm leaning more towards 20 or 35%.
I'd like to see pics of black cars, with the different shades of tint to get an idea.. I guess I'll browse the gallery for a while....
Congrats on the beautiful ride from another Michigander- and yes, black is the best color! Your ride is looking sharp! Here is mine, minus the clay-bar (I need to do that myself).

I know the feeling about it making you feel 16 again- I feel the same way every time I look at it and/or drive it.

Welcome JPJ526,
I also have the base car. A little less in features, a little less weight, a little less silver trim, a little more grass roots, a lot less money.
Although I have to admit I love the classic look of Alabaster and Silver Saphire Blue on the Limiteds. I really enjoy every aspect of owning my car, modding it, driving it, working on it, just looking at it. I'm sure you will do the same, enjoy the site. Just one thought, before you drop the money on the illuminated door sills, take a look at the sills from a limited. They are a nice upgrade and match the interiors silver trim.

Welcome to the forum, nice looking Crossfire and beautiful shine ! I have had my '05 base for a little over 2 yrs and still get a kick out of it everytime I drive it. Be sure to check out the Midwest section of the forum and try to make it to Woodward next month to meet up with some other great Crossfire owners

Big meet August 16th
You should come meet a lot of us with your new wheels.
Congrats and welcome to the forum. You can look in my gallery and see my old base coupe with 35% on the fronts and 5% on the rear. This was the darkest legal tint you could get in Texas 4 years ago.
