I couldn't bare parting with my Xfire, so I kept it and bought a 08 BMW anyway.

Yeah, I was looking at some roadsters yesterday. I have had mine for about six months, bought almost new. The best offer I got was $13k. I think I will keep my coupe for a few years look at roadsters later on...

Exclamation Re: Just sold my Crossfire...

guys,

The biggest BS was from the benz dealership... they were like "this is a non production car, no value, etc." i was like, Mother F****** this is a benz, don't you know?? No matter when I said, the was trying to down talk the Xfire, etc... .. why do this, when the car is the same as the SLK 320??? soo much BS... I was pissed, my wife was worried that they were going to call the cops on me!!!!!! (at the dealership) .... I took my keys, they were comparing Our Xfire (black book) with the Yellow NADA book for the Benz, were not comparing apples to apples.... anyways, when my friend told me that I can get 4yr/50000miles free maint, only I pay for gas and tires, i was all over it.... I saw a CPO X3 and they offerd me 4yrs/100,000 miles free maint.... can't beat that.... wat a BS episode from MBZ.... very unexpected.....

On my way home I stopped to get something to eat and the door latch cover fell off so I decided to stop by the Chrysler dealership and get a screw, Service department come out and put one in right away so everything was great until I tried to pull off the lot and a salesman stopped and said that I ought to trade in my srt before it wasn't worth anything. I told him to stick his head somewhere but that is what we are going to get when sales are down and our cars are discontinued.

Sounds to me like the salesman had a customer looking for a SRT and he was just trying to get you to "donate" yours. Most of the time they don't ask you to trade a car in that they can't get rid of for a profit.

that is for sure right....hell, most of the time they will line up someone to buy your trade-in before you sign the papers on the new car...that's why it always takes so damn long to get a trade-in price. Glad to see you are happy with your purchase. Though its always a bummer to lose a xfire driver.
