Watching Top Gear last night they mentioned that next week's new episode they were going to Iceland and testing 5 or 6 cars. In the hi lights they showed the cars and one of them looked like a Crossfire roadster. wasn't 100% sure as I didn't have the recorder on to play it back. But I'll sure be watching next week.

Top Gear is one of the best shows on TV, those guys are great and really entertaining!

 

You can watch the Crossfire review on Youtube that Clarkson did. He hated the car, said the interior was cheap, the trans was awful and the back end looked like a dog taking a dump. He also said the SLK 320 is a girls car.

I have never seen any american cars that they liked.

They liked the Ford GT a lot

 

It's not, they say it cheap, parts were bought by the lowest bidder and that its terrible. However, they said "I'm stumped" because it was 6000 lbs less, and that you don't get 6000lbs less of a car. Who cares, they said the 300 srt8 was rubbish and brought out an m5 to compete with it. Hmm, the m5 is only double the price.. They are totally biased, they really only tell you their opinion though. He also loved the rx-8 praising it like its the best car ever, and hated the crossfire, saying it was slow, didnt handle and looked like a dog... well you know by now. I still love the show, I just don't base opinions on theirs.

 

If this is it, it is a N/A Red Roadster and you will be suprised at the comments. They probably did not want to use the SRT6 because it would have dominated the other two!

Will this be a new show on the BBC or is it one of the two year old shows we get Monday night on BBC-USA?

 

It is a old one. The Audi TT is a older model and has been replace with a new one, and we all know what happened to the crossfire. This looks like it is from 05-06

 

Now that was entertaining!

 

I saw that show last night, and it seems like the host's were split down the middle as to which car they think was the best performer.
But sadly, at the end of the show, they didn't consider the Crossfire as a true sports car. They should have had an SRT-6, perhaps it would have made a better impression.

 

Clarkson does like the soft top, he always was contrary.

 

I've seen all of the episodes with the crossfire in them, and Top Gear, as good of a show that it may be, is NOT the place to hear a review of an american car. They all HATE them. They think americans can't build cars. Even though the car was built in Germany, it has an American badge. Clarkson was fond of the Ford GT, so much that he bought one. He got it later than he expected, and it started breaking down immediatly. He got rid of it quickly.
