lol im staying away from carwashes, i know a guy who went into one and his car got smashed to pieces because someone tied bolts onto the strands of nylon -.-
First off, welcome to the forum. You won't find a better group of knowledgeable (and opinionated, haha) people for the crossfire anywhere.
Now, in response to your question. Each person has there own collection of goodies to keep their babies looking immaculate. So if you really wanted to start from scratch I would take a consensus on the products from the responses you get. Some people swear by Meguiars and some by Adams products. To each their own. Here are mine:
Wash:
-Microfiber wash mitt
-Meguiars Gold Class Car Soap
-Waffle weave microfiber towel (find one specifically for drying)
Wax/Polish:
-Meguiars NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0
-Microfiber wax applicator pads (I like the triangle ones, more surface area)
-TW Ice Polish (note: this provides no protection whatsoever, simply provides the 'showroom shine')
Daily Maintenance:
-Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer Spray
-A Plethora of Microfiber towels
-Windex (spray or wipes) stil works ebst for windows IMO
-Vaccuum
-Meguiars Gold Class Protectant Wipes
-California Car Duster
Clay:
-Meguiars Smooth Surface Clay Kit
So as you can see I prefer Meguiars, but its all a matter of opinion. I actually believe that Mike-In-Orange works for Meguiars so he may give you a nice detailed list of stuff he likes (meguiars obviously) haha. Good luck, and again welcome.

I use Zymol and Maguires.
I also love the wax cloth things for touch up and on the wheels.
Keep the rims waxed and it will make cleaning them easier (if you have the painted rims)

The logo looks great. I'm anxious to see how it translates into a vinyl decal for the rear window (or wherever they wind up).
