Intermittent lamp out warning light
I got this warning today. I do not have any lights out. The warning will not repeat. Anybody else have this problem? I searched the web and came across a review where this was the first of many electrical "anomalies" I have only had the xfire for 2 weeks-this might be premature, but I hope I haven't bought someone else's headache.
thanks
thanks
I had something like this, and I took it to be looked at as I had only had the car for a week or so. Sometimes the warning light would be on, other times it would be off. They said that the filament in one of the lights was starting to fail. They replaced the suspect bulb, and since then I haven’t had the problem.
Check your license plate lights. I couldn't figure mine out either, then one night I walked around my car looking at side markers etc and noticed that only half my plate was illuminated...

You won’t believe the problems a twitchy number plate lamp caused me when I had the Morris Minor. Turn a corner, the rear lights went out. Stationary, the lights were fine. It took ages to track down. Part of the connector, a piece of copper strip, was slightly out of shape, and straightening it out solved the problem. When the car moved, the strip would move off the bulb and break the circuit.
Just ran into this. Turned out to be the right license plate bulb. The bulb is only available from Chrysler, auto parts stores do not even list it. Only $3 from your local stealership but you have to order it in advance as they do not stock it. Comes in a bag with a Mercedes part number.
I've got a 2005 coupe. My headlight just went out! I drove my crappy Sunfire for 10 years without having to replace a headlamp. No warning light though. Any chance this might be covered under warranty? I'd imagine a headlamp is not a cheap item for this car. By the way, I love my Crossfire!

If you end up doing it your self, It's a bit of a pain. Read up on it in the "Lighting" forum. There are a number of tips to doing the job without removing the assembly.
I replaced all 4 of mine with Sylvania SilverStar Ultras. Brighter. Many will tell you to go with am HID conversion while your at it. Your choice!
Why do you need a "special" Chrysler bulb for the tail light? I bought what certainly appears to be an exact replacement for 3 dollars....the specifications are identical, but I still have the warning lamp on?? I also replaced one of the running lights, but the light is still on....??? What is special about the Chrysler bulb...it appears to be just a bulb.
