Has anyone experienced a humming noise coming form under car. Mechanic told me it was resonating from the fuel pump. Told me to bring it in when gas tank is almost empty and he can try placing some spacers between gas tank and frame.

 

I only hear mine when I first turn the key to "ON" ! It starts up for about a second to prime up the system then I don't hear from it till next startup !
As far as being "Normal" .... yes this is normal. Is the sound annoying ? Nahhhh, actually I find it entertaining....kinda like a countdown to PermaGrin !

The fuel pump on our cars is not in the tank so placing some spacers between the gas tank and frame doesn't make any sense at all. He must be another one of those Chrysler techs.
