Default Buying Uncut Replacement key?

There are a ton of uncut replacement kewys on ebay. Is it worth to save money and get one of these and then have a dleaer or something cut it and then program it yourself?

Do a search on keys.

Dealer cannot cut them -- they have to be ordered from Chrysler based on VIN. They also include a rfid device. All you can do is program them to your car (after they have been cut) using the forum instructions.

I just bought 2 of them last month. My original 2 keys were all worn and the buttons were cracked so I took them apart and swapped out the insides! Now I have 2 new looking keys!

This has been discussed extensively but the short answer to ebay keys is even if you can get someone to cut it for you all you will have is a key to manually open your door. It will not start your car and you cannot program the remote function. You need the RFID chip for that.
