The ignition switch and the trans are both costly repairs if broken. i would look for another low mileage car.

Loosing your deposit could be cheaper than the repairs. Take it to a dealer and have them inspect it and give you a cost for the repairs before you purchase it. Think about it and good luck.

Remember: before paying extra for someone's aftermarket wheels and tires; they are almost always worth less money than the factory alloy rims. Try to ask for the factory rims to be included in the sale as well. Otherwise the car is less valuable than if it just had the stock rims.

The exception is if they had genuine AMG, BBS, or some other high end rims.

I talked to the dealer today, and he is fixing the ignition problem. He said he never used the manual, in this car or his acura, that it was easier on the tranny. I plan on going to a back road, turning of the traction control, and doing a burnout, followed by high rpm shifts. As far as the stero, I have always had some kind of system. I have had the same subs for 12 years(hollywood with green foam). I realize that the cabin is pretty small, so I don't plan on too much. Do 10's, or 12's work better? are there any specific questions I should ask about the vehicle? thanks, chris

Hello, this is kind of related to this, I recently bought an 2005 limited manual trans with only 4800 miles on it. Also had all leather interior, heated seats, and Navigation, I Paid 14,000 for it. Do you guys think I got a good deal?

no, you are doing the right thing, some people are afraid to upshift or downshift automatics...I personally never downshift my auto stick, but up shifting will never hurt anything, and it will shift for you if you don't, so the owner was just being cautious....drive it like you want...it will take it....as for the key, sounds like you took care of that problem, now, go to the search feature and plug in stereo, and there is hours of reading about stereos on here, I like to listen to my SC whine, so music isn't that important to me....good luck w/ your purchase and enjoy.....

Why not downshift? What does it matter?

The autostick will never let you damage your transmission. It will not let you shift into unsafe gears, will cut off and shift at redline.. it's idiot proof

A bumper to bumper extended warranty. That way you don't need a test.

I put 3500 down on the car. the wheels and tires were 2200. I'll post some picks if I get the car. I still plan on it, unless he can't fix the ignition. I'll know for sure tommorrow. chris

If you want a comparison, my Crossfire's price was $13,500 with 32,400 miles on it, in great condition. Your price seems high, even with custom wheels/tires.

Check the Infinti 12" Sub (1) and the Infinitis Mids. You won't regret.

Aftermarket headunits work fine, also.
I did the same thing i had two infinty subs to go with teh stock system. The same day i got them finished i turned it down to the lowest setting cause it hit hard. They werent even that great of speakers i got them both for about 94 dollars at bestbuy. It also depends on how loud you want it. i now have 2 14 inch rockerfausgates in it now cause i go to compations and it hits hard. I all ready replaced my back windshield once.
