Forbes - 17 hours ago
Most of the vehicles on our list sold at invoice price but a couple, like the Chrysler Crossfire, sold for $3278 below invoice price ($40055 sticker price).

The ill-fated Crossfire roadster/coupe
This depresses me.

The article says actual sales about $7K below sticker........what's to be depressed about when you gave about $13K below sticker (new with Lifetime Warranty) !!!!!!!

Could someone please translate it? is it something like "destiny's illness"?

No, It means someone else took a $20,000 bath on my SRT-6 coupe, used with 3K miles, and I now have a car I wouldn't otherwise have and am soo pleased. This is a buying time. Tomygun

Heh, that's how I look at it too. Yay for "ill-fated"!

I figure that the unpopularity of this car let me steal a re-badged SLK32 AMG with a better design, an original sticker of $46,895 with only 2,800 miles on it, for $22.5, about the price of a new Honda Civic Si or Cobalt SS.

The best part is that the general public has no idea of the level of success that the Crossfire experienced (or didn't). They just seem to dote over it like its some sort of concept or supercar.
