SoCal/NorCal Meet?
Hey what's up everyone?
Well currently I'm in Monterey, CA, but was curious to see what everyone thought about a hookup in this area...I was thinking San Fran, San Jose, Carmel...I don't know just kicking around ideas.
What's the good word?

Other than calxfire, all of the respondents to this thread live south of SF ... most of them quite a ways south .... if all of them are willing to drive to the Bay Area, San Jose would probably be a better half wayish destination to accomodate all of them AND Bay Area residents ...
Just a thought ...

well, several factors will be involved ...
weather, of course, will rank #1 ... a close second will be the fact that with the holiday season coming quickly, many folks will have other plans to work around ...
and, deciding on a spot to meet ...
IF a number of us are available on a date with decent weather, we could meet somewhere in Santa Clara County, drive as a group, perhaps along an interesting route, to some other spot, perhaps an interesting restaurant with enough parking that everyone could park, all lined up ...
Let's hope someone in or close to Santa Clara County has some good ideas to fill in some of the blanks ...

Yep, and besides patience is key, no point in rushing a meet and it turning out crappy.
Next time I'm in San Jose I'll drop by Andy's Auto Sport and see if they have any suggestions for a place for a car meet.

yes, you do ...
San Clemente is nice ... that's where Nixon used to have his "California White House" ... he'd go down on the beach in hopes that reporters would see him walking in the sand and write about him doing so the way they'd done with JFK ... oddly, he didn't seem to understand that walking in the sand while wearing wing-tips wasn't going to cause the press to equate him with JFK .. but, that's a whole other story, isn't it?
