Cedar Interior
Just wanted to pick the brains of the forum members. As I continue my search for the right car I have seen the two tone interior that is close to the "graphite" exterior color, did Chrysler produce any other interior combos besides the Cedar interior. I think this looks great with the white and graphite. Was the cedar ordered in lesser quanities or have more owners held onto their cedar interiors?

Sorry, there wasnt a question. More a losely connected collection of thoughts that came out in word salad (Thats a clinical term). I am thinking Aero Blue with the charcoal two tone or Black/White and the Cedar two tone. Eventually upgrade the headlights to 6000K hid and a rear difuser for a bit of orginality.
LMFAO us cigar guys can't read cedar without going "mmmmmmmmmmmmm"
buahahahaha
Back on topic, I LOVE the vanilla/slate combo. Too bad it's only in roadsters. The cedar/slate is nice tho; kinda reminds me of Brabus tuning flavor, with the red interiors and all

I'm not sure about the total production of the cedar/slate interior. But from what I've been told by a Chrysler engineer for the 04 model year, fewer than 10% of the cars produced came with it.
Personally, I'm very happy mine was one of them. It's the coolest interior of any one I've owned.

Mine is the sapphire silver blue metallic with the cedar/slate combo. Just like the concept car. Kinda wish I had held out for a white one with this interior, but I liike mine. They look good in black and oyster gold as well. I guess what I'm really saying is that I want all three. Can someone please make color changing paint so's I can have any color I like. First thing I'm doing is robbing a bank then keep switchin colors till I'm outta town. Tranformer car? I'm a Crossfire, now I'm a Bently, now I'm a deuce coupe...
I put the Cedar red interior in my daughter's SRT except for the seats. Initially, she wasn't crazy about it because it wasn't really red. Now she loves it. It compliments a black XF. There is a complete cedar red interior on ebay for $899 down from $1199 because it didn't sell. If I had the extra cash I would buy it.
Regarding the white interior Rush........... Be glad you don't have it. It is nearly impossible to keep clean.

No, didn't mean the vanilla/ slate combo. Not a fan. I meant the white exterior with the cedar/ slate interior. People tell me the interior iooks like Harley colors. I think the red steering was more red than this interior needs, maybe a slate leather wrap with the cedar stitching.
I have been searching auto trader, the for sale site and ebay for white or blue with cedar and the manual. I am so obsessed with the color combo that I am going to drive up to 800 miles from my home for this combo. I'll bring quarters and my down payment with me so I can clean the Passat and make my trade. I am thinking definantly OCD tendencies, but why buy a car if it isnt what you really want. Learned that with my Passat. Any way I am thinking either the carbon fiber overlay for the interior of the aluminum overlay that is available on ebay, just something subtle that would offset the interior with cedar combo. Does anyone have an opinion of these overlays and which one is the best fit and look for the X-Fire.

Shhhh i'm saving up for that! Don't tell anyone!
I found mine on cars.com. Did alot of looking and found one around 120 miles away. It had everything I was looking for. All for a great price. It pays to look around. You might try this site. And feel free to aproach the dealership about the car. You don't even need to tell them how you know about the car. Don't buy acar without seeing and driving it. Haggle, haggle, haggle some more.
I spent months looking for the "right" SSB roadster with a stick. The Cedar was a bonus, possibly the only thing I would have given up for a deal.
Glad I didn't have too. Makes the car.
I too didn't like the red steering wheel. Covered it with an inexpensive (yeah cheap) cover and it made a nice balance.
And, it added just enough wood grain touch to the enterior. The wood dash kit I bought is stiil in the box.

Cedar? So that's what they call it. Kind of "orangie"? That's what I've got in my black '04 coupe.
I figured MB paid a big name designer to come up with the color, (which they probably did).
The color is fantastic and sets the car apart from "ordinary" XF's, IMHO.

Again a smart repurposing (fancy for hand me down) of a proven product from MB
