why do i have to remind myself that i like my car?
theres days when i love the car and other days i ask myself why not the audi tt or 350z or s2000. the first mistake i made was getting the roadster second its not an srt. third i payed $22,000 for an 05 with $20,000 miles 3 months ago. now if anyone remind me again why this car is so amazing. i heard there was an episode of 2 guys garage with our crossfire on it on the speed channell has anyone seen this or know where i can see it, it would boost up my awareness of this car.

1. I have yet to be in a car that didn't give me hell every now and then.
2. The grass is always greener.
3. This car is a small price to pay to not drive what 90% of the people out there are.
4. Sorry, don't know which episode.

I used to go through that, but the truth is that the car is a balance of luxury and performance. The nissan and honda are more performance oriented. I did not fit in the s2000 so it wasnt even an option, but I am now so happy that I didn't get a z. The crossfire is a very comfortable car, I fit better in mine that I do in my mom's new cts. The ride quality is nicer than the z, the traction control (while I hate it some days) really allows you to drive in weather a z couldn't manage. Plus after my first crossfire was totalled, I feel VERY safe.. much safer than I would in a z (forget about the s2000). The crossfire is less powerful, but is less money, and a much more refined car. Keep driving it, and hopefully you will understand.
I feel your pain guy. I bought mine on July 3rd. It had just under 19000 miles on it. It was fully loaded including navigation, "useless that it might be", for $13977.00. I feel the price of the car itself adds a lot to the value. I think you said you have the roadster which adds $2000.00 or more to it's value. It sure sounds like they took you to the cleaners. But dont feel bad. we have all been then there a time or two. Personally I think we have pretty special cars. And as you can see by this forum, there is probably more support for this car than any I know. Just try and put the cost behind you, and go ***** out through the twisties, that always put a grin on my face.
If you're going to drive yourself crazy with regrets, you'll never enjoy it. The money is spent, it's a great looking and driving car, so have fun.
PS - I spent $21k for a 2005 SRT6 in January and it needed $2k worth of work; and I spent $16.7k for a 2007 coupe two months ago. Both with ~8k miles. I bet both are cheaper now, but I got the colors I wanted. Sure I could have saved a little, but it's worth x dollars to get exactly what I wanted. I'd rather look at it and say "what a beautiful car" than "I wish I bought the red one".

I bought my '04 Coupe April 2007 and for what I paid then I could buy a '05 SRT6 today.
Am I aggravated by this ....not at all.
I have driven 22000 miles with no issues and enjoyed every mile of it.

I drove an S2000 and was disappointed with the "no low end" grunt. Having to wait for the rpms to reach 6000 before any excitement is too long a wait for me. The 350Z, I personally wouldn't mind one, but my SRT feels so much faster indeed. An Audi TT isn't a bad car, with all wheel drive, but the prices are a little too much for me. I just can't get enough of my SRT, and I'm always excited just getting into her and starting her up and taking my daily stroll.
Super Crossfire, I bought hundreds of thousands of stock that are now worth half of what I paid for them. My plans of spending all of my time on the Crossfire forum and never working again have been shattered but damn it! I'm not going to let it ruin my peace of mind. In every life a little rain must fall. Hell! I still have all my limbs! Have fun in your Crossfire. In a hundred years none of this sh*t will matter you and your Car will be rust and dust. You might try my strategy, as Crossfire prices come down keep buying them so your average price will seem more reasonable lol. Just waxing Philosophic. Have a blast!

You and I have the same car, basically. 2005 Limited Roadster. Open air driving, pick your own gears. The thing is awesome on track and I don't regret for a second not having bought the SRT6. Yes, you could have gotten a better deal, but then again most people probably could have gotten better deals on most cars they've purchased. So what? Even for the price you paid you got one hell of a great car that stands out in a crowd and is built rock solid.
Go find a nice twisty road, drop the top, and drop the hammer. You'll love it.

I'm bigoted because I already own two Audi's, but I like the look of the TT roadster and with the bigger engine and AWD, they drive real well. However, they are overpriced for what you get and not as "pretty" as an XF.
I paid over 31,000 for my SRT and dont regret it one bit. That was the price then and what it is now doesn't bother me the least.
Love this car and will keep it as long as possible.

Hi All
I payed £11500 for a 2004 coupe 13 months ago with 24000 mile on the clock & kerb rash alround & 3 different makes of tires , when there was $2 /£1 , now if i talk about saling the Xfire the wife tells me i have to go first before the car, But i think we will be Xfire lifers ,This car just gets under your skin its just a great balance between sport & crusier , The real bonus is that you can get in the Xfire drive for 200/300 miles & not see another but how many TT's ,Z's , S2000's etc will you see & then you go to a Xfire meet & its like meeting up with your old mates from years ago , Its not just a car !!!!
Cheers

Just got back from a small trip thru St louis and back. Traffic was awful. everybody was Christmas shopping or in a real hurry. Few were in a Christmas, or should I say Christian, mood.
Mostly Interstate driving with lots of trucks and SUV's and jerks that thought they were the reson the road was built.
My little wimpy NA roadster with a stick darted quickly and with vivid spirit thru the mess for three hours. What would have been a drudgery trip to deliver samples and meet clients was instead a lot of fun. Mostly in fifth gear, I had a great time.
I don't concern myself with the money I paid for my toy. I may not be worth much today, but I would pay that price again for the joy of today's experience. The only thing that would have made it better was if I put the top down, but at 23F, I wimped out.

That would of gotten me a E.C.U. tune. What a shame, won't make my heater any faster.

I feel for all of the people that paid sticker for the SRT-6.. but then again maybe this is a bad assumption but they are probably the people with the more money and have probably sold it / moved onto bigger / better things...
Hi Mr Max
That's it my friend (nasty little habit I picked up from John McCain) These cars are unique and that is worth a lot. I was also considering Mustangs and Z's but they are just so common. I remember when the 356 series Porsches first came over here. The drivers would wave at each other upon a chance encounter. I pulled up next to a Crossfire and we both started laughing because the odds of that happening were so slim. That's why I choose the little German rocket
Funny you say last bit my reg is 'R70CKT'
Cheers
