Hey all,

I was curious as to what people are paying these days for leftover new 07 Crossfire Limiteds? A local dealer to me has a couple '07's left and is up to offering $15,000 off MSRP. Do you think this is going to be their best offer, or are dealers generally moving them cheaper than this?

I did a google search for Crossfires today and saw an '08' advertised for 15k off. I'm not sure if the Grapevine guy has any left. For that matter, I'm not sure this guy has any left. I didn't follow up.

From Grapevine CJD I am getting a new 2008 Oyster Gold metallic clearcoat limited coupe with auto tranny and factory Nav system for an even $20K including local charges. It will cost me $749 to transport it to Nampa, ID but still well worth it.

Only 3 left I believe so deal quickly. Send me a private message if you want his email/phone number. He is easy to talk to and deal with.

A few months ago untitled 2008 coupes were going for ~$22k and roadsters ~$25-27. I suspect if any are left, that price may come down. They don't sell well in the winter + a bad economy.

Given coupes should list around $32k, then one can do the math on $15-17k off list.

On the other hand, one can occasionally find gently used 2007s for well under $20k. The only thing you lose is the lifetime powertrain warranty.

Axelrod Pontiac had a used 2007 all black coupe with 5005 miles for $13990. They are in Cleveland, Ohio. The car was showroom clean and manual shift, basic model. I drove it to see if I wanted a stick, and decided I wanted an automatic trans. I ended up buying a 2004 with 24K wth auto for $11,900.

My 2007 Limited Coupe 6 Speed with 11,800 miles was on a Ford Truck lot at 16,950. They gave me a good price on my trade in, only cost me $9,125 out the door. Best deal I ever did!

I paid $27,500 for a new 2005 Srt6 roadster with 91 miles on the odometer. I purchased it in June of 2008.

There are others also all over the country. Chrysler did another Stock Reduction Program to get the dealers to take all the Crossfires that had not been sent to a dealer. These cars just made it to the dealerships lots within the last week. I have not been able yet to find out the cost of the cars to the dealer on this last effort to get the dealers to take them. It must have been a very low price though.

If/when anyone finds out who got the last allocation, please let us know.

Thanks

Hello everyone.
Does anyone know how a used car can have less than 100 miles on it? Did someone buy it and then get repossessed the next week?

You probably went to that Ebay link and saw that car with 6 or 9 miles on it listed as used. I wondered exactly the same thing. I guess the guy drove it for five miles and decided he didn't want it lol. Maybe he got home with it and his wife kicked his a*s and he had to return it. Maybe it's one of those mysterious legal technicalities. I hope you get an answer cause it baffles me too.

I almost bought a "new" 06 earlier this year. I wanted the lifetime warranty and, as I was finishing the paperwork, they told me that it was "new" in the eyes of the DMV but "used" in the eyes of Chrysler. As I understand it, some of the dealers were given cash from Chrysler to take Crossfires and they were considered by Chrysler to have been "sold" to the dealer and considered used for warranty purposes. I don't know if the one on EBay falls under that category or not but that might explain it. The lifetime warranty may not count for much these days anyway since the car will likely outlive the car company.

Best answer I've heard so far. You are right! I was going to buy an extended warranty from Chrysler but will they even be around?

When I worked for BMW of NA in Oxnard, CA we received all of the cars for the Western half of the USA. If a car happened to get damaged on the ship, in transit(before it hit the dealer) or at our facility and the cost of repair exceeded 3% of the vehicles MSRP it HAD to be sold as a used vehicle. I don't know if other manufacturers have to go by that rule but that's how it's done at BMW.
