Default Grilles

I just picked up my 2006 Ltd about 2 weeks ago, and this morning someone backed into her and now I need a new grille. So I'd like some options other than the mesh grilles. There's been a few with a tight horizontal design that I really like and I've seen a couple of vertical bars too, but when I search all I can find is the mesh. Can someone point me in the direction of the other styles available. Thanks alot!!!!

I have this one which is a chrome overlay over the OEM. RIOT has the billet grill with the tight horizontal you mention. I don't have a pic of his, but you can contact him. SRTSIX sells the mesh grills below mine. Good luck.
Ah, found one of Riot's grll.

The billet grilles are offered on ebay for $400. This outfit worked with forum member Donoutwest. When he helped them with the design and started offering them to forum members, they raised his price and offered them for less direct on ebay.

If you don't like the chrome mesh, I now offer it in powdercoated gloss or satin finish black.

I like FP's grill best. Sure hope AutoXclusive still honors the XF20 discount code.

I like the mesh and the billet grills - but they've become too common on cars and trucks.

Thanks everyone. Mine is the white, so I could just ask the shop to spray it white and then put the overlay on it. I like Punkins alot, and Riots too, and the mesh is fine. Hopefully I'll find out where Riot and Punkin got theirs and then make a final determination. The car goes into the shop on Monday. They can put the grille on anytime. Thanks alot everybody! Best wishes to all in the new year. BTW, I added a small door edge guard chrome strip at the edge of the hatchback and that really looks nice, IMO. Mark

We sell the Chrome Grille as well as all the other CTD products.

I've seen the mesh grille in person at a meet and have to say it's one of the nicest ones out there. I really don't think the pics do it justice.

Anyway, here is a link to the CTD stuff:http://www.tvtdesign.com/exterior_accessories?b=1

And the interior goodies: http://www.tvtdesign.com/interior_accessories?b=1

I'm with you, that looks great. All the aftermarket options look cheesy to me.

When painting it white, consider not painting the chrome edges. I've seen someone here do that on a white car and it looked terrific.

I bought a mesh grill. As I remember it was between 300 and 400 dollars. I was very disappointed. The tack welds on the back created dimples on the front. The lowers were ok but the uppers were awful. I sent them back and ordered the Chrome Overlays. They look great on the car, super retro look! The horizontal ones look pretty cool but I still like the overlays better.

IN THE INTEREST OF JUSTICE, I SHOULD POINT OUT THAT I DID NOT BUY THE MESH GRILL FROM KARL (SRT SIX). I BOUGHT IT ON Ebay FROM A CHINESE COMPANY THAT IS LOCATED IN CANADA AND HAS A WAREHOUSE SOMEWHERE AROUND SAN BERNARDINO.

I also have the chrome overlays like FP and Max. Of course they were on the car when I bought it. They look good, but they are a b*tch to remove. Apparently someone backed into the bottom one with the previous owner and cracked it. He gave me a spare set, so I replaced it, but had to use a grinder to cut the old one up, so I could peel it off. That tape is super sticky
