I am a UK crossfire owner and need to know if the 5 year powertrain warranty works in the UK as well as the states.

I have a 2004 with 20K, and it sounds like the cat has gone and ive heard that this is covered under the powertrain warranty..

I have a rattle from the centre part of the exhaust at low revs and at tickover, and the engine lights has come on once after a long journey.

i don't know what the specific warranty is in the UK, but in the US the powertrain warranty was typically 7yr/70k miles on earlier crossfires. however, the powertrain warranty doesn't apply to emissions components. in the US, catalytic converters are warranteed due to federal government regulation for 8yr/80K miles, so you would be covered here.

 

i knew the US would get a better deal!

I am sure someone on the forum did get there cat replaced in the UK under the PT warranty.

Just hoping really.
