Default Anyone familiar with the Maximum Service Contract?

From what I am being told, a crankshaft position sensor is not covered under the 7 year 70000 powertrain warranty or a 7 year 100000 maximum service contract. Can anyone confirm this? What's the point in having an extended warranty?

My dealership said Chrysler told them that. They ended up making an exception and covering it anyway. The whole thing makes no sense to me.

I have that contract, and it should cover bumper to bumper. It was easier for them to print what's not covered. Look at your contract.

I have the same sevice contract and was never given a printed copy of specifically what it covers. I was told bumper to bumper as if it was a new car warranty.

It is not specifically stated on the list of what's not covered. The crankshaft itself is mentioned and definitely covered but not the sensor. They say 5007 components. They say all electrical parts and so forth. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Try a different dealership.......the extended warrantee is the same as the new car bumper to bumper warrantee in what it covers.
