Wow, I'm not sure what prices you're seeing on the Genesis, and I wouldn't expect any kind of return on re-sale. I agree with the Passat, Great Car. I just sold a 2008 Audi A4 Quattro S-Line w/ 6,500 miles for $24,000. Also had a 2007 BMW 328i w/ 17K that I sold for $21,999. Don't buy Brand New, just my opinion. There are a lot of great buys on late model used cars w/ low miles and plenty of warranty left on them.

My daughter has the 08 A4 S line Turbo. Nice car but from a luxury standpoint my wife's 04 C240 blows it out of the water. Saw the Lexus commercial again last night, gotta turn that off right away when it comes on, puts bad thoughts in my head.

"a little more"= 40k

Seriously though I've heard nothing but good things about it. However, in my teens, I owned two Hyundais previously (both Tiburons) and had problems with both.

Cool- SRT badges are going for $80-90 on ebay.

hmmm under 20K.. a crossfire?

I mean I know there are several '04-'06 BMW 335's on the market for under $20k. If I were going to buy a new BMW that would be the car (BMW 335) just because its dollar on dollar value is much higher than the M3. Other than that, I'm sure you could pick up a nice truck for under $20k (new or used).

Keep the Crossfire and just look the other way.

I have only had one guy ever try to race me when I was in the SSB SRT6. It was an old muscle car and looked and sounded great.... boy was he surprised....

Mostly I dont get bothered..... I try to follow SteveS' philosophy... project the power to do it, but refrain... (it is hard to do though )

Sorry, forgot to answer your question.... keep the Crossfire and ignore them... it gets good mileage and is the classiest car on the road.

This is a hard question to answer as there are many cars available if you are going to consider used cars. Do you just want an appliance, like a Camry or Accord? Do you want something with some sport like maybe an A4, 3-series, or even 2006+ VW GLI (jetta version of the GTI)? Do you prefer stick or automatic? Asian, American, or European?

I will say that the G35 (and maybe the G37) sedans are pretty affordable on the used market. What about a used Mazdaspeed 3 or WRX? Of course with those cars, you probably will still get people who want to race, but they are also really fun cars.

FOr under 20k you can get into some interesting vehicles.

A used E46 BMW will serve you well and retain its value. I had a 2004 convertible and miss it tremendously (wrecked, someone hit me).
