Default Dumping the crossfire, what to get next?

well I'm kina tired of the crossfire seeing every fool on the road wants to race me, so I plan on getting into a sedan. What are some good options out there, for under $20,000

My wife's car is an '08 VW Passat with a 2 litre turbo autostick - a very nice sedan. Comfortable to drive with plenty of back seat room, looks good (now that it has 20% tinted windows), cruises smoothly at 90+, and has remarkable pickup once the turbo kicks in...we picked it up at Enterprise Rental sales last May with 12K miles for $21K.

I drive it only when the weather is bad or we can't fit everything into the Crossfire...

Spend a little more and get a Genesis.

For the money that car is amazing.

Yeah the Genisis sounds like a killer deal,I need to test drive some. I think I'll wait for those to come off least in a year or so, the Euro cars are way over priced, new and used. guess it's time to go Korean...

You going to have to spend double that on a Genesis.

Look into a barely used Pontiac G8. They are not holding their value well and get great reviews.

What to get next?....your head examined.

Otherwise a Kia, Hyundai, Saturn, etc. Do not be surprised at loss of manhood as well.

why don't you get a Hyundai Accent? When you pull up beside me, we can race! If you're flexible on your price range, move into a Cayman- otherwise
the new 2010 Mustang looks great. It might be my next ride, in fact.

Not that bad of a suggestion. I actually rented one for $20 a day while we spent a month in AZ in November. It's actually not a bad little car. It had several luxury features that the Xfire doesn't have, and its depreciation isn't any worse than a Crossfire!

Screw the sedan idea. Just find a car that people won't dare race you in.

My suggestion is a C5 Z06 Vette. Might run a hair over the 20K but it would be worth it.

Seriously though, I would either get a Honda Civic or a Mini Cooper.

I think there are about 15000+ Ohio residents building Civics.
Most of the "American" cars are built in Canada, and Mexico.

Simple, just buy a car that looks like every other one on the road today.

OR, just give your nemesis' the big ignore & keep driving like they don't exist. Who gives a crap what they think.

OR, trade-up for a SRT-6 & quit f'ing around with them, just make 'em history.

There are always choices. You own a Crossfire: evidently you can make the right choices once & awhile!

I'm in week 154 of owning my Crossfire ... I've had only one guy in a loud Mustang want to race me ... when he was looking at me while revving his engine at the light, I just nodded at him, then let him go hauling a$$ away in a cloud of burning tire smoke when the light changed ... I just smiled and waved as I went by him at the next light where he'd had to stop while I had timed the light and arrived doing 40 just as it changed ... end of 'race', he turned off before getting close after that ...

I have no desire to race ... I would far rather project an image of potential speed, kept under deliberate control ... a sort of "I've got it, I am just choosing to not use it" sort of attitude ...
