Default wheel offset question

i am planning on installing a set of 20x10's in the rear with a 42mm offset. will this look right? or will they be shoved under the car and not clean and flush with the fender wells? anyone install a setup like this? will a 15mm spacer be sufficient enough to fix the problem? (assuming there is a problem)

thank-you so much in advance for your help!

I think you will need at least a 20 mm spacer set to return to OEM offset. Much will depend on the size/aspect of the tires you choose.

Use this tool:

http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp

and put OEM info on the left and proposed/new info on the right and clearances will be shown both graphically and in the boxes below.

See also the Sticky "Wheel Spacers" here:

Lots of good info.

Looks nice Jim.

I just ran the mock-up and it shows, that if you choose 275/30 X 20 with a 42 offset, (only 2% larger for the speedo) the tire will be 1.2 inches closer to the interior wheel well.

Sorry, I uploaded the wrong .pdf file.

20's pdf is what what you want

the lip has nothing to do with whether the wheel is going to sit flush or not...offset and width are driving that alone
