Default Oil Leaking onto Header

I noticed smoke one day coming from under the hood while driving! So, as I began cursing as I pulled over to see what the source was. I noticed oil had leak onto the driverside header and it seemed like there was some oil around the seal by the oil fill and Valve cover. I brought it to the dealership and they said they couldn't find a leak. They said it was old oil from an oil change! Meanwhile, I hadn't had an oil change in months. It never really smoked again but I still have the oild build up! What should I do?

Several folks have complained of the same, most report having to replace the valve cover gaskets.

I know the O-rings on the STP & Purolator filter kits are too thin & leak.....go with MANN.

Both my roadster and 2007 have a slight oil weep on the front right (driver's side) valve cover gasket. I had the dealer tighten the valve cover bolts when the roadster was in for it's end of year oil change. Only drove it a few miles after that, but I suspect that did the trick. If it continues, I'll probably have to look into replacing the valve cover gaskets.
